10k at 10,000 feet Race Description

The 10@10, presented by Summit Ford, features both 5K and 10K trail running race distances to give everyone the opportunity to get out and race! Both races will start at 8 a.m. at the top of Gondola One at Mid-Vail, with both the 5K and 10K races taking place above 9,000 feet of elevation with the high point at nearly 11,000 feet. Online pre-registration ends at 3 p.m. on Friday, August 23. Day-of registration available at the base of the gondola from 6:30 a.m. to 7:45 a.m. Bib pick up and registration is also available at The Lululemon store in Vail Village from 3pm to 6pm on Friday, August 23.

The 2019 edition of the 10@10 will feature one of Vail's most scenic trails, The Meadows. 10k runners will be treated with massive views of Mount Holy Cross while both 5k and 10k runners will utilize the just completed Meadows trail and be awed by views of the Gore Range. With so much to look at, keeping an eye on the trail will be a difficult task. This is trail running at its finest!

Gondola One in Vail Village, which will access the start and finish area at Mid-Vail, is open for spectators and racers to ride to the top for free from 7 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. All racers and spectators must present a lift voucher to access Gondola One. Lift vouchers are available at pre-registration/bib pick-up at Lululemon on August 23 from 3-6pm and at day-of registration at Gondola One base in Vail Village from 6:30 a.m. to 7:45 a.m. Failure to load the gondola by 8:00 a.m. will forfeit access to Mid-Vail without purchasing a daily scenic ride ticket for $34. Dogs or other pets are not permitted to load the gondola. Post-race, the gondola will be free for racers and spectators to download to Vail Village.

Please Note: Gondola One ride time is approximately 12 minutes. All racers are recommended to load Gondola One by 7:30am to allow enough time to reach Mid-Vail.
