Bare Buns 5K

The Bare Buns 5K, our "clothing optional" 5k run/walk continues to grow in popularity with increasing participation each year. Last year almost 200 registrants for the 6th event in the AANR - Southwest Nude Racing Series, and this year promises to be even larger!

The Bare Buns 5K is a rural run through "Star Ranch" in McDade, Texas, 30  minutes east of Austin on 290. The course winds its way around pastures and through woodland trails for approximately three kilometers before entering the developed portion of the ranch. The final two kilometers are on the sand and gravel paths connecting the cottages and cabins owned by our members. The race finishes at our gorgeous pool where you can enjoy a light meal off the grill while awaiting race results.

We are the final stop of the 2024 A.A.N.R. Southwest Nude Racing series (but you need not have participated in any other race to run here). All our runs are "clothing optional" meaning wear as much or as little as you like. All runners must be pre-registered and we do conduct background checks on all our guests to ensure a safe environment is maintained at all times.
