5K Dog Jog & 1 Mile Mutt Strut

Whether you're running for fun or walking with friends, we're sure you'll enjoy participating in the 5k Dog Jog or the 1 mile Mutt Strut to help raise funds to build the only fenced in dog park in the Southern Hills. 

The event is open to humans running or walking with or without dogs.  The first 100 paid registrants will receive a special gift.  So don't delay and register today!

To keep everyone (and every dog) safe, special rules apply for those bringing a dog.  We strongly suggest that both the owner and the dog train for this event, if they don't already run.  We recommend jogging on trails or other locations where people run with their dogs, to acclimate your dog to running in a pack with distractions.

• Limit one (1) dog per person. Dogs must be at least 6 months old.
• Please only bring dogs that are well-behaved around other dogs and people.
• Proof of rabies vaccination required. (Current rabies tag on collar is sufficient.)
• Bitches that are in any stage of heat are prohibited.
• No dragging of dogs.
• Dogs must be on leashes at all times (maximum 6 feet).
• No retractable leashes, which may be hazardous in a crowd.
• Keep a short leash at the start to avoid entanglement.
• You must remove any of your dog’s waste.

The race director reserves the right to refuse entry or remove a dog from the course if it might prove hazardous to others or whose physical condition appears to be in jeopardy before or during the event.
