5K Hellbender Hustle Woodrat Walk -O'Bannon Woods Race Description

What is a Hellbender? A Hellbender is a 24 inch salamander, which makes it the largest in North America and an Indiana Endangered Species.

Due to Covid-19 precautions this year we will be doing things a little different than normal.

Join us virtually or on-site for the Hellbender Hustle 5K Run/Walk beginning Saturday, April 17, 2021 at 9 am and ending Sunday, April 25th at 4pm. The course will be marked and available to run/walk at the Hickory Hollow Nature Center of O’Bannon Woods State Park in Corydon, Indiana. This race is part road, part trail, and is ALL fun for the entire family. There will not be a formal “shotgun” start and awards ceremony as in the past. This year will be at your leisure. Each participant also has the choice to run or walk this event virtually in their own home or trail/path of their choice.

If utilizing the park, run/walk 10am-3pm on Saturday 4/17, Sunday 4/18, Friday 4/23, Saturday 4/24 or Sunday 4/25 and staff will be on-site for you to pick up your race shirt, lanyard and goody bag of prepackaged cookies.

All participants will be entered into our standard drawing for unique Hellbender Hustle door prizes.
