Antelope Island Marathon - 26.2, 13.1, 10K, 5K Race Description

Formerly the Layton Marathon This 26.2 Miles, 13.1 Miles, 10K or 5K running on terrain on Antelope Island in the Great Salt Lake and the causeway that spans the Great Salt Lake. Antelope Island is home to over 600 head of Bison (American Buffalo), mule deer, big horn sheep and over 400 species of bird.  Spectacular views of the sunrise on the Great Salt Lake to the East and island and wildlife to the West.  Now the race has all distances on Antelope Island.

This was my first race ever. Thoroughly enjoyed myself, very well set up. Was hoping that the shirts and medals would show 2018, though. Looking forward to next year.

not organized very well

It was cold and windy and the runners were jumping up and down at the start line to get it set-up as it started 15 min. late. I realize the wind was a problem. There were not the gel packs at the aid stations as they said there would be, The hotels were not notified until a couple of weeks before the race, but it turned out fine. We didn't receive information until a week before and the shirts are a yucky color. Other wise we enjoyed watching the buffalo.

Beautiful Race

This is one of my favorite races this year! The scenery was breathtaking! The race was very well organized and all the volunteers were extremely supportive and helpful! To top it off the finisher medals were gorgeous!! I will definitely be back next year!! Thanks for an amazing race!

Beautiful challenging course

Course was beautiful! A challenging race, but amazing views of the lake and county as youd expect on the island. I love the small races, as it gives me a better chance of placing in my age group!
