Awesome!
This half marathon was perfect! The organization was out of this world. When my family came down on Friday night the first thing we saw was the 'Welcome Runners' sign and my first thought was, "Oh my gosh, they are so excited to be hosting the race here." It then made me extremely excited for the next day. Packet pickup was a breeze. I was surprised at how much race swag was offered....it actually made me feel spoiled. Running down Beaver Canyon was the highlight of the race. The leaves were turning colors and it was soooo beautiful! The course itself was astounding...quite a bit steady downhill but a few rollers added in made it perfect - I absolutely LOVED that there was only about 1.5 miles in town because I hate seeing the finish line from far away...and they made the last 1.5 miles interesting by running down a short dirt road for a bit. The neighborhood we ran at the end to the finish line was very clean and it is almost like the residents added their own personality to each home. It ended at the Memorial Park in Beaver which was great. No problem finding parking. I found a new love for Beaver. The runners were so kind and helpful to each other as we encouraged each other along. The volunteers were hilarious and very helpful...I enjoyed their sense of humor. The pacers were absolutely amazing individuals that not only pushed the runners in a positive way but they were very encouraging. Post race food had a good variety....I loved the potato chips. The race photos were awesome and I appreciated that they were available for free...I really made a lot of good memories and the race experience had all the fuzzy feels. I loved the finish line and really enjoyed the local neighbors coming out to cheer the runners on. I felt accepted into their community. The race directors, race staff, community, volunteers, pacers, and runners really made this experience special. There were a lot of runners that came from out of state to run.

A must do, at least once.
The organization was great. It was great to have a closed road course. In town there were volunteers that kept you going int he right direction and was nice run through parts of Beaver. At mile 10, there was some up-hill that was unexpected, but very doable even after 10 miles. The swag bag was one of the best I have seen. The finish line/area was also very well done. A great selection of items. Due to distance, I do not know if I will ever do this Half Marathon again, but I highly recommend it to anyone to do once.
