BENCHS Tails N Trails

Welcome to Blue Earth Nicollet County Humane Society (BENCHS) 2nd Annual Family/Dog-friendly FUN RUN/WALK 5K. 

This is an untimed Dog Walk/Fun Run event open to adults, children and leashed dogs of all activity levels. Cats and other small animals are welcome but must be secured and/or crated in a stroller to ensure their safety. Tails N Trails Fun/Run Walk will take place through two of lower North Mankato/Mankato's area scenic park trails.  Post finish line activities will include vendors, snacks, water, dog games and photo booth. 

BENCHS is a 501(c)(3), non-profit animal shelter with limited paid staff and relies on community support, generosity of donors, volunteers, grants and fundraising events to maintain quality care for the animals in our care.

TIME:  8-8:30am Packet pick up

           8:45am Opening Ceremony

         9am 5K

July 10 – September 1, 2024     

Adults 12+: $40 Includes T-shirt and Dog Bandana

Youth 5-12: $25 Includes T-shirt Only

Teams of 4-10 participants: $35 each, Includes T-shirt and Dog Bandana

REGISTRATIONS RECEIVED AFTER 12Noon, SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 1, 2024

PACKET PICK-UP/IN PERSON REGISTRATION

Wednesday, September 25^th       5-7pm   BENCHS 1250 N River Drive, Mankato

Day of Event: September 28th    8am-8:30am at Registration Table

WEATHER     Sorry, No refunds - The race will go on, rain or shine!

In the event of inclement weather there will be indoor activities offered.

EVENT PARKING

Parking is available in the parking lot across from Spring Lake Swimming Pool/Warming House.

EVENT DAY:  Post finish line activities include local vendors, dog friendly activities, snacks, water

DOG SAFETY POLICIES

 •Bring dog waste bags, CLEAN UP DOG WASTE

 •All dogs on a leash held at no more than 4 feet length

 •No Retractable leashes, please

 •Stay 2 feet from other dogs, do not try to make friends

 •Do not pet unfamiliar dogs unless you are invited

 •Kids should never pet an unfamiliar dog

DOG WASTE CLEAN UP 

 **If your dog DOES Poo along the trail, turn in your dog waste bags

to the registration table after crossing the finish line and receive

a coupon for a free doggy donut from the Doggy Donut stand.
