Bend Beer Chase

The Bend Beer Chase is a one-day six-person running & walking relay of approximately 55 miles, consisting of 12 legs of varying distance (4-8 miles per leg). The course starts in Bend, travels to Redmond, and returns to finish in Bend, while experiencing the amazing craft breweries of Central Oregon. On a 6-person team, each person runs 2 legs; On a 3-person team, each person runs 4 legs and we welcome teams of all sizes between 1 and 6 runners/walkers. The relay starts at 10 Barrel on the east side of Bend and finishes with a beer festival hosted in downtown Bend on the beautiful grounds of the Deschutes Historical Museum.  Each time you exchange at a brewery, you have the option to enjoy a 3-4oz sample of craft beer from the sponsoring brewery. Consumption is not required. Every team is required to have a designated driver and DD’s are not allowed to consume alcohol during the event.

Once your team completes the relay portion of the race in downtown Bend, teams have the opportunity to participate in the Keg Leg, a 3 mile walk/run with stops at 8 breweries in downtown Bend.  The Keg Leg starts and finishes at the Deschutes Historical Museum after the completion of the Relay.  The Keg Leg is included with team relay registration and van drivers/ designated drivers and official team volunteers are welcome to participate with their team at no additional charge.  Other friends or family members can register separately for the Keg Leg.
