BlackToTheTrails5k Race Description

Your race registration provides the startup capital needed to sustainably launch HBCUs Outside, a non-profit dedicated to closing the adventure gap for students and alumni of Historically Black Colleges and Universities.

Run 5k, anywhere in the world, on Global Trail Running Day, September 19th through the following weekend September 27th. Upload your times to be counted on the leaderboard.

Recruit your friends for more impact. Share on Instagram with the hashtag #BlackToTheTrail5k and follow @hbcusoutside for updates, and special prizes.

Like you, we want to see more Black faces enjoying spaces that are currently lacking in color, such as running trails, climbing mountains, and sitting at outdoor industry boardroom tables. The optimal way to accomplish that is by empowering Black leaders to welcome them. HBCUs Outside is designed to sustainably advance diversification of the outdoors.
