CASA of South Texas COLORRUN

CASA’s 3^rd Annual Color run will take place at the Atascosa River Park Saturday, May 2^nd at 8 a.m.

CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of South Texas is an organization of volunteers that take the time out of their busy lives to be there for abused or neglected children that have been removed from their homes in Atascosa, Frio, La Salle, Karnes and Wilson Counties and put into foster care. These children often feel abandoned and alone. CASAs work extremely hard to not only find a safe and loving forever home, but also to have a meaningful relationship with the child(ren) as they move through the system.

CASA would like to invite you to our 3^rd Annual Color Run! This event will be a fundraiser to support the tireless work that CASA volunteers do for the children in foster care. This run will also help raise awareness in the community about the needs of these children who have been taken from their families.

Why don’t you come out and join us? This day will be full of fun and color! All ages are welcome to run - or walk - in this 5k! The first 50 registered participants will receive a dri fit t-shirt to wear for the run.  A child under 12 years old can participate at no charge with a paid adult runner.  Pre-registration is $40.00 per person and cut-off date is April 20^th   Any registration after April 20^th will be $45.00.    

An award ceremony will be held after the race to recognize the first three runners that cross the finish line, and there will be ribbons for all children.  Food and plenty of drinks will be provided as well.
