AN OREM CITY POLICE OFFICER NAMED COOPER?—Now that’s irony!! Yes, it’s true. This year Cooper’s Run funds are being specifically dedicated to helping the City of Orem replace one of its retiring police dogs. And believe it or not, Orem’s police department has decided to name it’s newest cop “Officer Cooper” (a.k.a. Coop)!! How cool is that?! The goal is to raise at least $10,000 to help the City of Orem offset the costs associated with acquiring and training Officer Coop. Cooper will be used for such things as drug detection, officer protection, search and rescue, public relations and events, making our community safer, and of course finding and apprehending bad guys! This is a tangible cause with lots and lots of “good” associated with it! We hope everyone who participates and/or donates will feel a sense of personal pride knowing they personally participated in something good that will create a community-felt positive ripple effect well into the future!
