Fort Union Rendezvous Run

The Williston Parks and Recreation District along with Stropiq, Inc. welcome you to participate in the 28^th Annual Fort Union Rendezvous Run. The race will be held at Fort Union Trading Post National Historic Site.

Fort Union is located on the North Dakota/Montana border, approximately 25 miles Southwest of Williston, ND and 24 miles North of Sidney, MT. Just remember, Fort Union is in Central time zone.  The Fort overlooks the confluence of the Missouri and Yellowstone Rivers, the route of the Lewis & Clark Expedition.

Competition is open to all levels of ability. Fun runners are welcome! Events include a 1-mile Kids run (12 & under), 1-mile Fur Traders Run/Walk (period dress required), 5k run & 5k walk, 11k run, and a Half Marathon. All races start and finish at Fort Union.  The Half marathon route will pass through Fort Buford, continue to the Confluence Center and the route will run along the river. The 11k route will pass through Fort Buford and turn around to go back to Fort Union. The course is flat and very fast. 

Race day registration closes at 7:30 a.m. (CDT) for the half marathon and for all other races it will close at 8:45 a.m. (CDT). On race day, all runners and spectators must be to Fort Union when registration closes.

Entry Fee is $25 for individuals for any race, $10 for kids 12 and under, and $40 for families. Registration will be accepted the day of the race and a $10 late fee will be added per registration. Only cash/check will be accepted for payment on race day.  Participants will have the opportunity to win awards and door prizes. Lunch and refreshments will be provided inside the Fort immediately following the race. The awards ceremony will be held between 11:30 a.m. (CDT) and 12:00 p.m. (CDT) in the Fort.
