Memorable Experience

Ran the 5K as that is all my current training would allow. For the past 3 or 4 years I've been wanting to run the event, but seemed to get injured in mid October every year. Same thing happened this year but a less severe setback. I decided to see what happened, but really wanted the experience of running over the bridge. The start of the race is a bit bottle-necked, but once we get to Mesquite there is ample room to find a space to settle into pace. A quick block over to the bridge entrance is the last 'turn' or corner the rest of the race (5K). The shuttle bus back is an amazing idea as it gives those running the 5K a chance to cross the bridge like the 10K and Half events. The food and drinks available afterwards, as part of the entry fee, was also appreciated. I brought cash just in case (as I had not participated previously), but didn't need it. All the volunteers were cheerful and helpful. Thank you to all involved for a great event!
