Health in Action 5K & Virtual 5K

Join us for the 2023 Health in Action 5K presented by Syngenta and the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America. Proceeds will benefit the GCSAA Foundation.

Please see below regarding information for the virtual event. 

The virtual 5K will begin Saturday, February 11 at 12:00 am EST until Monday, February 27 at 12:00 pm EST.

The first 200 participants to register are guaranteed a t-shirt in your preferred size.

Due to international shipping costs, virtual international registrants will not receive a swag bag.

 Registration for the virtual event closes on February 27 at 11:00 am EST. All times for the virtual race must be submitted by 12:00 pm EST on February 27.

Virtual Race Instructions

Race start time: Saturday, February 11 at 12:00 am EST

Race end time: Monday, February 27 at 12:00 pm EST

How to submit your race time:

1. Click the ‘Manage your registration’ link within the confirmation email you receive

2. Click ‘Submit Virtual Results’

3. Upload your photo with proof of time and distance

4. Enter your time

Participants will be required to submit proof of their time and distance. Take a picture of your tracking device and submit it showing your time.

Here are a few ways you can track your 5K time and distance:

• MapMyRun

• Strava

• Apple watch

• Garmin watch

• FitBit

• Any GPS watch

• Treadmill

Swag Bag - Shipping

We do have a limit of one swag bag per participant.

For the ON-SITE participants - If you were unable to pick-up you packet, we will ship you your bag once we return from Conference and Trade Show. 

For the virtual participants - Your swag bag will be shipped to the address provided when you filled out your registration. 

Due to international shipping costs, virtual international registrants will not receive a swag bag.

Prizes

Prizes will be awarded to the first, second, and third-place male and female finishers for both on-site and virtual.

1st: $100.00 Gift Card to Dick's Sporting Goods and a Syngenta Canned Cooler

2nd: $75.00 Gift Card to Dick's Sporting Goods and a Syngenta Canned Cooler

3rd: $50.00 Gift Card to Dick's Sporting Goods and a Syngenta Canned Cooler

Chapter Prize

We will determine the fastest chapter by combining the fastest four run times from each chapter. The top four times for the winning chapter will each receive a $50.00 GCSAA Gift Certificate, recognition in the post-event GCM ad, and their chapter name engraved on the 5K Plaque at GCSAA HQ.

Corporate Prize

We will determine the fastest industry partner by combining each company's four fastest run times. Industry partners who participate will be recognized in a post-event GCM ad and the fastest corporate team will receive premium recognition in the ad.

Prizes will be awarded to one winner through a random drawing once the virtual race has closed.
