Ice Cream Run Race Description

July 15th is National Ice Cream Day!! What better way to celebrate than with a fun run/ walk at beautiful Turtle Lake in Plainfield.

The is event is part run part ice cream social. After the run stick around and enjoy the warm weather, cold ice cream, and amazing company!

Proceeds for this event stay in the community! A portion of the proceeds will go directly to Green Harvest Food Pantry in Plainfield. Purchasing a race shirt is optional, however a large portion of the proceeds from shirt sales will also go to the food pantry!!

Race Costs:

Kids Half Mile $10

5k Fun Run $15

Race T Shirt $15

We will have a timed kids race going off at 9:00 am and the 5k will start at 9:15 am. Others who don't care about their time or place can run the course at their own leisure. Ice cream will be served promptly at 10:00 am!!

There is no age group or overall awards for this event. Our goal is to donate money to a great local charity, not spend it on awards!!

Packet Pick Up-

To pick up your shirt or bib number before the race you can do so on Saturday, July 14th at DNA from 10-5A. DNA is located at 16133 Weber Rd. Crest Hill, IL 60403.

The race will be held from the Turle Lake Access parking lot on Lockport Street. The course is 100% on paved bike path with no road crossings. Enjoy a scenic and flat course through one of the best preserves in Plainfield.
