Kier's Hope 7th Annual 5K Run and Fun Walk at the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge - Dallas, Texas

We’re excited to share that on Saturday, June 7, 2025, the Kier’s Hope Foundation will be hosting our 7th Annual “Sickle Cell 5K Run and Fun Walk”! This event is not just about getting some exercise; it’s a chance to come together as a community to raise funds for our Annual Christmas Drive, the KH Scholarship program, and our Health Fair, all while shining a light on Sickle Cell awareness.

It’s so important that we support those living with Sickle Cell disease. These individuals are valuable members of our society, and they deserve the best care possible to thrive and make their mark on the world.

Did you know that Sickle Cell is the most common inherited blood disorder in the U.S., impacting 1 to 3 million Americans each year? That’s a big number! People with Sickle Cell have hemoglobin that’s shaped like a sickle, which limits how much oxygen gets transported throughout their bodies. This can lead to all sorts of challenges, including shortness of breath, extreme pain, organ damage, and, in the worst cases, even death.
