Some constructive feedback for next year.
There were some clear issues with this race. 1. The location on the website is listed as “Amite La.” A street address and parking instructions would have helped. 2. It started at 8am when festival isn’t until noon. We didn’t stay for festival. That’s money lost. 3. We were on the wrong side of the arch for starting. You are supposed to cross the time bar at start then again at the end. 4. Glad the people of Amite drive slow because streets were not full blocked off and there were no course signs. There were people to direct us so that was good. Course was otherwise great. 5. There were no refreshments or entertainment for after; not even for purchase. We left. 6. Which church service were we supposed to wait around for an hour to attend? 7. Weather was great, singer was amazing and everyone was really nice. Looking forward to next year and a better overall experience.
