Project Life 5k and 1 mile Fun Run Race Description

The Oklahoma City Fire Department is proud to organize and host our annual Project Life 5k at the East Wharf on Lake Hefner! This event allows us to raise money for new, life-saving smoke alarms to provide to OKC residents free of charge! Through your donations we have been able to furnish 125,000 smoke alarms and counting. This run is fun for the whole family. The 1-mile fun run/walk is very popular as well! Our 5k race is professionally timed on a USATF certified course. The 5k Run has quickly become a favorite among runners, and we anticipate this event to continue to grow.
