ChronoTrack has the largest network of race timers in the U.S., who are all provided with training and support from Chronotrack. 25 of the 30 largest events in the US are using Chronotrack, including the New York City Marathon. ChronoTrack's newest innovation to their timing system is called a B-tag. They are using disposable tags that are attached to the participant's race bib. These tags are disposable, meaning the athlete will not have to stand in line after the race to return their tags or chips. ChronoTrack uses these tags to provide live result displays. As the runner passes the timing checkpoints, the ChronoTrack antennas will automatically collect the time and the bib number. That information will instantly be sent to their computer system. With this technology ChronoTrack is able to show the athlete's results in real time using the ChronoTrack Live Platform. The athlete can view their results at the finish line, but also live on their phones and tablets. This allows family and friends to track the athlete as they run.
