(race date estimated)Race Through the Woods Description
Join Midcoast Conservancy for the 13th Annual Race Through The Woods trail race on Sunday, October 6, at Hidden Valley Nature Center in Jefferson, Maine.
Racers will have two course options to choose from: a 13 mile or a shorter 5 mile race. This single loop course brings you over steep hills, through the woods, past beautiful ponds and has about 1,000 feet elevation with lots of technical single track. We may be biased, but it's one of the most fun (and hard!) trail races you'll run.
The races will be professionally timed by FiveKSports.
Race fees are $40 for the half-marathon, and $30 for the 5-miler. Both races start at 9 am. Prices for both races will increase by $5 AFTER AUGUST 15, 2024.
Your registration fee goes directly to Midcoast Conservancy's Mission of protecting and restoring vital lands and waters on a scale that matters. With over 16,000 acres of land conserved, 56 preserves open to the public, 3 watersheds protected, and 2,200+ members supporting our efforts Midcoast Conservancy is lone of the largest conservation organizations in Maine.
Registration closes one week before race.
This race is currently capped at 125 entrants, with a waitlist. There will be NO day of registration. Prizes will be given to overall and age group winners. We will be pouring beer from Sheepscot Brewing and plan on having fruit and snacks for racers.
Limited number of long sleeve technical shirts will be available for purchase day of for $15, cash only.
There are no refunds or transfers.
