Run-Row Marathon

Join us for a fun Run-Row Marathon Relay benefiting Breaking Break Kitchens.  The road course will take you through the streets of downtown Midland, returning to our location for the rowing portion. 

Team Marathon” Fun” Run/Row Rules

• The winners will be the team that finishes 42,165 meters on the rower (42,165m Rowing and 42,165m Running) 
• Check-in starts at 7:00 a.m. 4/29/23
• Competition starts at 8:00 a.m. and has a 3 hour time cap
• Registration will be limited to the first 40 women/40 men. 
• Teams of eight will randomly be drawn from the total number of registered participants.
• Team members will be designated a bib number (“011”, “012”, “013”, etc to “018”) to represent their position in the queue
• Participants 1 through 4 will begin with a 500 meter row while 5 through 8 will begin with a 500 meter run (1 will row 500 meters while 5 is running 500 meters, 2&6, ect.)
• Only one participant from each team may be rowing at one time. Depending on when the designated rower finishes, there may be more than one person running at one time
• For example, as the team member “011” finishes the row, the next team member in line “012” will begin rowing, “016” will begin running as soon as “012” starts rowing. That cycle will continue till the rower hits 42,165 meters. The first team member to row will have to complete an additional 165 meters
