Running Shoes 4 Kids Run 2 Summer

Our Run 2 Summer Community Event & Fun Run is so much more than a race! Bring the whole family for our all-day, all-ages event including:

• Live music
• Local vendors
• Food and drink
• The Kid Zone — dunk tank, obstacle course, petting zoo, pony rides, face painting and more!
• #GoGood table — draw pictures and make a video of how you #GoGood to win a pair of running shoes

Join us to celebrate 12 years of providing running shoes to families in Kootenai County and empowering kids to #GoGood through our school outreach program. Proceeds from this event help to support Running Shoes 4 Kids programs all year long.

Who can join?

All ages are welcome! Past participants have ranged in age from 3 to 75. Register as an individual or register a TEAM.

Together. Everyone. Achieves. More. Gather together friends and family to support Project #GoGood and form your own team of 3 or more.

Event Categories

5K Race Divisions:

• Ages 15–17
• Ages 18–21
• Ages 22–30
• Ages 31–40
• Ages 41–50
• Age 51+

Prizes

Medals will be awarded to the Top 3 finishers in each age group, male and female:

• Ages 3–6 awarded medals for quarter mile race
• Ages 7–10 awarded medals for half mile race
• Ages 11–14 awarded prizes for mile race

5K: All age divisions will run the 5K race together and receive a medal for completion.

Quad Crown Challenge: Register for all 4 races for a chance to win this year’s Quad Crown! Finishers will be recognized with a special prize.

TEAM: Five teams will be awarded gift baskets.

Each race entry comes with a free chance to win a PAIR of SHOES! We will raffle a total of 50 pairs of athletic shoes between race events and after the final race.

About Running Shoes 4 Kids

Running Shoes 4 Kids (RS4K) started in 2012 with a simple idea: to give athletic shoes to kids who didn’t have the right footwear to run cross-country.

In 12 years of serving our Kootenai County community, we’ve expanded our efforts to include more than just athletics, we are encouraging kids to embrace healthy, active lifestyles and make positive choices for their community.

Today, RS4K strives to:

• encourage kids to choose a healthy, active lifestyle by providing them with quality running shoes;
• strengthen our community by supporting kids, families, schools, local organizations, and small businesses;
• and empower every individual to believe that they have the ability to make positive choices and the resilience to accomplish hard things.
