Sage Rat Run May 12 Race Description

Sage Rat Run will be held Saturday, May 12th, 2018. The website is www.sageratrun.com

This is a community-oriented fun run in Eastern Washington! A fast, flat point-to-point half marathon, a 5k and a kids fun run (1 mile)! This race is great for setting a half marathon or 5k Personal Record (PR) or to run your very first race. This race has chip timing! The races are held in Eastern WA wine country. The half marathon route goes along a paved bike path from Sunnyside, through Grandview, and finishes in Prosser. The 5k and 1-mile races are held entirely in Prosser. The Horse Heaven Hills provide an attractive view for the races.

PRICES & REGISTRATION:

The price for the half marathon starts at $35, then goes up to $40 on April 1st and up to $45 on May 1st.

The price for the 5k starts at $25, then goes up to $30 on April 1st and up to $35 on May 1st.

The price for the Little Rat Run (kid's 1 mile run) stays at only $5 until registration closes.

Prices for registration and t-shirts are budget-friendly thanks to our Title Sponsor Astria Sunnyside Hospital.

T-shirt sizes are $10 for adults and $8 for youth. XL sizes are $13 for adults and $11 for youth.

Note: When you first open the race registration page, it doesn't show the t-shirt sizes, but those will appear once you start filling in the form.

Registration closes May 6th. Please register early!!!

All participants will earn a medal! The half marathon runners/walkers will earn an epic 6-inch wide medal! The 5K runners/walkers will earn a fantastic 3-inch medal. The Little Rat Run (kids' run) participants will earn a great medal as well. Medals are included in registration!!

The T-shirts are optional at registration check-out for an additional cost. These T-shirts will have a nice tech material, are nicely fitted, and will have this year's race theme art (by Terri Akins at Virtual Run World) on the front and sponsors on the back. If you visit Virtualrunworld.com, you can purchase t-shirts and medals from previous years' races!

Volunteers are welcome and needed! We can't put on this race without great volunteers. If you are a Certified Flagger for intersection/street crossings, we would especially love your help! Thank you!!!
