School Ghoul 5/10K Los Alamitos Race Description

October 29th, 2017 in Los Alamitos is the annual School Ghoul 5K, 10k and Kids Festival of Races.

This scenic, tree-lined course ~ flat and fast, out and back~ is made for setting records. Small town feel with big time fun. The run starts at Rush Park and goes to Rossmoor Park and back. School Ghoul raises awareness of the importance physical fitness and proceeds go to support programs within the Los Alamitos Unified School District.

Run Timeline & Info

6:45am - Registration opens

7:05am - Warm up and announcements

7:15am - 10k Run starts

8:15am - 5k Run/Walk starts

8:00am - Pancake Breakfast opens, Ghoul Zone

9:00am - 10k & 5k prizes awarded

9:30am - Kid's Festival of Races starts (12 & under 5k participants can also run in the Festival of Races at no extra charge)

10:30 Costume contest and Kids race prizes awarded

Race Information

Brooks merchandise for top category finishers. Cash prizes for top finishers. Trophies for top finishers in the Kid's Races. First 500 full-price registrants receive a free pumpkin. Every finisher receives a commemorative medal. Event T-shirt for every participant.

Ghoul Zone

Where kids can play fall carnival games and enjoy the pumpkin patch. Those wearing costumes will be eligible for extra prizes.

Expo & Pancakes

The Boy Scouts will be flipping pancakes for our Ghoulishly Great Pancake Breakfast for $5 and many businesses and products will be a part of our festival area.

Parking is free in the lot behind The Shops at Rossmoor - Seal Beach Blvd/Rossmoor Center Way
