This race is an old favorite of mine. I ran it again today and as is often the case, the weather was perfect; temps of the 60's, sunny to partly cloudy, and not much wind. The new route eliminates the first mile of heavily trafficked roadway which I especially liked.
This run up the Lewiston spiral highway features sprawling views of the Lewis-Clark valley. The race is well organized with a drink station half way and drinks/snacks await at the finish line. The twisty nature of the highway does have you running on a side-hill type traverse in the turns of which I've heard some complain. Traffic is light and I felt safe on the run. The view at the top is awesome.
