South Dakota Trail Championships - 18th Annual

Directions:  Take exit 34 off I-90 and follow the signs for the trailhead.  It will be on the north side of the interstate opposite the Black Hills National Cemetary

Special Instructions: Park in the parking lot or along the side of the road

18K route: (Lollipop)

1.  From the Start/Finish area head south on Centennial Trail #89 under the interstate.

2.  Hard Right on Alkali Ridge Trail just after fence bridge and prior to the start of Bulldog proper.

3.  After a lengthy climb, continue generally straight on Pasque Trail following signs to the Sturgis Dams.

4.  Left on Trail #1/Bulldog Rim Trail and cross the bridge between Dams 2 and 3.

5.  Continue on Bulldog Rim Trail which jogs Right at the end of Dam #2

6.  Climb Bulldog Rim Trail all the way back to the intersection of Centennial Trail #89.

7.  Left on Trail #89 and continue on #89 all the way back to the Start/Finish (this is a significant downhill).

10K Route: (out and back)

1.  From the Start/Finish area head south on Centennial Trail #89 and proceed under the interstate.

2.  Continue on Centennial Trail #89 past the 18K turnoff.

3.  At approximately 5K turn around at the flagged location and proceed back down Centennial Trail #89.

4.  Continue on Centennial Trail #89 and proceed back under the interstate to the Start/Finish area.

5.  Please note there will be 2 way traffic so please be courteous of your fellow runners.

 Last race for the Trail Series.  A cool glass will be included in the cost of the race.
