Join us for a SWEET 5k Fun Run at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 2, 2022! The run will start at 19th Street and Richmond Avenue in Mattoon, Illinois and will end at the 19th Street Dairy Queen.
All participants will receive a t-shirt, patriotic goody bag, and a DQ Star Kiss Treat at the finish line!
Anthony V. Sheehan II was the first person with Down Syndrome to graduate from Mattoon High School. Anthony loved God, his country, his family, his friends, and his community. His passion and zest for life left behind a powerful legacy that we plan to honor each year with his memorial Stars & Stripes 5k. All proceeds from the Fun Run will benefit the Anthony Sheehan Memorial Scholarship that is awarded each year to a Mattoon High School graduating senior.
