Sunburst Races Marathon, Half Marathon, 10K & 5K Description

Sunburst Races, brought to you by Beacon Health System, presented by KeyBank, is one of the largest community events in Northern Indiana. It encompasses a half marathon, a 10K run, a 5K run, and a 5K fitness walk. The Sunburst races are certified by the United States of America Track and Field governing body on all courses. People travel from across the United States and even from abroad to compete in Sunburst. It truly is a special event!

We will offer a Health & Wellness Expo on Friday, May 31, 2019 at the Century Center in Downtown South Bend. Participants will be able to pick up their bibs and have an opportunity to check out local vendors and running organizations before they lace up for some Saturday fun! All race proceeds benefit our friends at Beacon Children’s Hospital.

On race day, Saturday, June 1, 2019, the races will begin at Four Winds Field, home of the South Bend Cubs, and finish on the 50 yard line of Notre Dame Stadium. Runners will enjoy a beautiful course along the St. Joseph River. The multiple events offered make it possible for all fitness levels to participate.

We can't wait to see you at the finish line! Have your phone ready; it will be an exciting moment you'll definitely want to capture with a photo!
