Well Organized and Fun Race for all ages
Event was fun and not complicated. Here’s the full run down: Registered online. Showed up and checked in at park pavilion. Walked 200 yards to the start point and received the welcome brief from the organizers. National Anthem played prior to start. Participants could run or walk. Faster runners up front. The 5K race route was 2 laps, around the lake area on wide paved walking trail. Adults walking with baby strollers just did one lap. 4 x Water points were available on the route. (1 location passed 4 times). Post race there were tables of good quality snack foods and drinks available at the pavilion. A race dogtag and challenge coin were given to all finishers. Raffle tickets were $5 each. Two prizes. ($700 and $300 value) were raffled off. Prizes were presented to 1st place finisher in Men’s, Women’s, Boys, and Girls categories. All in all, a great charity event for an outstanding cause! Highly recommend!

So fun! Such a great community!
This is the second time our family has participated in the St. Patrick’s Day 5k and we always have a great time. It is well organized, growing yearly, and fun for all! Keep up the great work!
Lot’s of Fun
When we decided to come to the Tampa area for Spring Break we were looking for a 5K the family could do together. This race fit the bill. Great group supporting a great cause put on a great race. It was competitive enough for our son and yet easy and enjoyable for my wife and I. Great to see lots families participating.
Fun run; good friends
This is only going to get bigger and better. We'll organized and fun for everyone.
Fun race great venue
The lake was great scenery, and the flyover was amazing!
This will be your favorite small race in the Tampa area
Had a blast here two years in a row, this will become one your favorite small races in the Tampa area. This event has a lot of thoughtful small touches and it feels so good to support our veterans like this. The swag is always creative -- custom military themed fun running items each year -- and always several items of signed NHL Lightning memorabilia in the raffle. The snacks and drinks are always extremely plentiful and there is always fun St. Patty's day décor as well. This event improves each year as it grows and the race director and staff are highly responsive. This is a truly beautiful course, two well-marked loops in a foresty quiet park close to MacDill AFB. We were treated to an awesome fighter jet flyover before the race this year.
