Team Tommy LTX Grunt Run

Team Tommy LTX is hosting a 5k / 10k Run / Walk to raise awareness for our U.S. veterans suffering from PTSD on January 19,2019. Participants will receive a Grunt Run t-shirt and sponsor bag. There will be water stations at every mile, and fruit at the finish. This will be a chip timed run. If you are a veteran or if you would like to run in memory of or on behalf of a veteran, please let us know that and a tribute will be announced to you or your veteran at the event. This will be a festive event with plenty of flags, volunteers, and a good time. We are asking participants to wear red, white or blue if possible. Also, we will have a 22 push-up challenge at the finish line for anyone who wants to participate to raise awareness for the high rate of veteran suicide. 

The proceeds of the event will support PTSD awareness and treatment, and the prevention of veteran suicide. 

Team Tommy LTX was started in the summer of 2016 in honor of Sgt. Tommy Simpson, a veteran Marine (son, uncle and friend) that lost his personal battle to suicide in 2014. Since then, Team Tommy LTX has spoken at public events and private groups for veteran suicide awareness and prevention, and has raised funds and collected items to send care packages to our troops for Christmas 2016. We continue to honor our nation's veterans, and true heroes. Please help us by joining us in this Grunt Run.

Finishers will receive a ruck sack and dog tag medal. The 1st, 2nd, and 3rd overall men will receive trophies, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd overall women will receive trophies, and 1st in each age category will receive trophies. Anyone who participates in the 22 push up challenge will also receive a dog tag medal.
