Texas Wounded Warrior 5K Race Description
Robert E. Lee High School Student Council is organizing a 5k at Rose Rudman on May 20th from 9am-12pm. Proceeds will go to the Texas Wounded Warriors Program. Texas Wounded Warriors was established in 2008 in Tyler, TX. The mission of the Texas Wounded Warrior Foundation is to raise awareness, to honor and empower U.S. military warriors, enabling them to assimilate back to daily life upon their return from combat. The Foundation provides veterans injured from combat operation in Iraq and Afghanistan with funding to defray the basic costs of living, incurred as a result of short and long term care of those injuries. All ages are welcome so bring everyone!
