The Fox84 Initiative 5K Fun Run/Walk

This Fox84 Initiative 5K fun run/walk tradition continues on May 02, 2020, marking the 4th annual Run! The 4the Annual Fox84 initiative 5K fun Run/Walk. With close to 300 participants in 2019, this City of Marion signature event is one of the largest road races in the Pee Dee area.

Hit the pavement and make your footprints count in support of the Fox84 Initiative for Boys Annual Campaign that gives youth an opportunity to play, learn and grow in a safe and thriving environment. With the community’s support in 2019, Fun Run/Walk! The Fox84 Initiative for Boys Mentoring Program raised over $14,000, providing hundreds of children the opportunity to participate in enriching, life-changing mentoring programs like annual trips and mentoring programs.

The Fox84 Initiative 5K Fun Run/Walk serves as the second major race for the City of Marion, with a route designed within the Marion City Works. Perfect for runners and walkers of all levels and ages - beginner to expert. All 5K finishers will receive a custom die cast finisher medal after crossing the vibrant finish line and everyone can enjoy a post-race party filled with DJ music, , food trucks, awards, prizes and more!

Make the difference as a team and enter the Run!  Challenge a friend, family member or work college to a friendly competition amongst Marion area businesses, community groups and schools. Teams earn participation points as runners, walkers, and volunteers. The team with the most points wins a Team Division award & earns bragging rights as the Run! The Fox84 Initiative team most committed to healthy living & social responsibility.
