The Heirloom Classic 5K Race Description

The Heirloom Collective is proud to present our THIRD annual "The Heirloom Classic 5K" - a charity run and walk to benefit The Food Bank of Western Massachusetts.  All proceeds raised from registration fees, donations, and sponsorships will be directly donated to The Food Bank.  The course is a challenging but rewarding out-and-back that departs from Crumpin Fox Golf Course and traverses via Purple Meadow Road to the crest of the hill and back.  Hydration aid stations will be set up along the way. All fitness levels are welcome and encouraged to join.  Run, or walk, just come out and join us for a morning of fresh air for a good cause!  Click the link above to register and visit The Heirloom Classic 5K website to learn more about The Food Bank of Western Massachusetts and it's impact on the local community.  Sign in begins at 8AM and the race begins at 9AM.  Saturday May 18, 2023.  We look forward to seeing you out there!

Interesting "race"

For a good local cause, which is a plus. Course is not certified, and is likely short. If you're going to put on a true 5k race and charge $$ to run it, it's really essential to get it certified. No mile markers. (Some people like them) If there was water available for runners to drink @ the end, it was hiding. No awards ceremony? Course was a real challenge, but it just didn't feel like a true race. I hate to sound negative, but maybe it was supposed to be more of a fun run and not a true race? If you just wanted to go out for a run, this was fine, but I thought it would be more of an organized race. There was chip-timing.
