The Jack Axe Obstacle Course Race Description

The Roughest obstacle course for the Toughest in the world!

In only 1.5 miles long, this course is packed with 25 challenges that will test your strength and skill as well as your endurance.  Many of our obstacles are derived from Lumberjack and Scottish Highland games and with a little strongman competition added in.  We will be throwing axes, tossing cabers, cross cutting  logs and hauling, carrying, throwing and pushing heavy things.

This event will test your strenght, your skills, your endurance, and your mental toughness, come prepared to take on the Jack Axe Obstacle "Renegade" Course, because if you don't it will take you out.

For the individual you have 2 choices to match your level.

Elite Axe: These are our hardened athletes that have been training to lay down the best time through our course with the opportunity to win the prize money.  ($2,000 for the male and $2,000 for the woman with the best times, second place for both categories is $500 and $100 for third place, again for both the men and women) They will also be qualified to participate in the Double Eagle, our highest award.  To achieve this award, you need to win the Jack Axe Obstacle Course Race as well as win the "All Round" and be our Tournament Champion.

The odds of winning the First place prize money is about 1 in 250 depending on registration, for the Elite Axe level we can accomodate approximately 500 athletes, both men and women.  Do you think you can be better than 249, if you are then $2,000 is yours.  There is a high probability that thed Elite Axe waves will close out once we reach capacity.  Prices will increase as we achieve capacity levels.

We will confirm timing as we get closer to the tournament however, Men's Elites will start at 7:00 a.m. with Women's Elite starting about 9:00 a.m.

Average Jack: For the love of the challenge, for the thrill to compete with your friends, for the opportunity to throw axes, the Average Jack class is for everyone.  This will be an experience that you will not forget and certainly will be an accomplishment to be proud of.

Starting times for Average Jack will be starting around 10:30, we will clarify as we get closer to Jack Axe Day!

Teams Competition

The team competition is incredible as it requires effective planning, communication and strategy.  Teams consist of 5 members.  Team Captain signs up and pays for the whole team, team members then log in, enter in their individual information and sign off on the waiver.  As a group, you carry a log through the entire course, participating in the obstacles on the way.

If you are racing for the prize money, each team must have no more then 3 male competitors.  Prize money for the winning team is $2,500, $1,000 for second place and $300 for third.

Teams will be starting around 1:00 p.m., we will clarify as we get closer to Jack Axe Day!

Goodie Bag: Each competitor will recieve the Game Day: Renegade course Jack Axe T-shirt and Finishing Medal.
