I've never been to this part of Georgia and it was fun to run this part of the Silver Comet Trail! This year I did the 5k, but next year I will do the 12k so I can see the tunnel. I am a very slow runner and usually finish last, but I always feel welcome at the Greater Atlanta Athlete races! I signed up for the whole series this year and each one is so fun! Thank you Race Director Paul and all the wonderful volunteers who make these events great.
The Rock & Comet 12k was fantastic. The venue and course are absolutely top-shelf, the organization and support were even better. Year 1 was so delightful I can't wait for Year 2. Great Job GAA!
The Rock & Comet 12K was a great event on a far less traveled section of the Silver Comet Trail. Hopefully more people will make the trip to Rockmart next year, it's definitely worth it. Great organization, enthusiastic leadership, nice shirt. Slightly long course and very long award ceremony only disruptions to a great morning.
My granddaughter and I ran the 12K and both of us enjoyed the 12K course. The shirts are beautiful. Awards are nice-looking, unique & we plan to frame the posters. The awards ceremony moved right along. We plan to run this Series. Thanks for a beautiful & fun day. Jackie & Allyson.
Beautiful course, great pictures, very responsive organizers both pre- and post-race (to emails, etc.). Very organized race. A few suggestions for a perfect experience: Start the 5K 15 minutes later than the 12K, use the microphone for the awards, use the built-in raffle tickets from the bibs for the door prizes- fair, quick, easy- indicate on the container that you must stay through the 12K awards to be eligible to win. There were no volunteers at either turnaround (5K or 12K).
I enjoyed the 5k run and the fast downhill finish. The course is scenic and comfortable on the smooth surface. The many vendors are always great and setup nicely in the shade of the park. Elite Timing does a great job with times and announcements and the photography provided is always fantastic. Awards are outstanding and unique. Many loyal volunteers and runners .... just great people makes for great running experience. A memorable race !! Good post race nutrition too.

The race organizers are excellent, started on time and gave great instructions. The site was so tranquil, easy to find and clean. Local law enforcement were so helpful and friendly!
