Blue Dome Timing uses the Jaguar RFID chip timing system and software. The Jaguar system enables race results to be calculated as soon as racers cross the finish line. The Jaguar system allows races to be divided into multiple divisions based on age, gender, teams, and many more. Race results are instantly displayed on monitors at the finish line, and paper reports can be printed while racers are still coming in. Disposable timing chips allow race organizers the freedom from having to collect chips at the end of the race. Timing chip reads are gathered through overhead antennas keeping the finish line free from mats and obstacles. Upon completion of a race, Blue Dome Timing provides race results to the race organizers on a USB drive on the day of the race – usually before the system has been dismantled. Results will also be available on our website.

Blue Dome Timing was created by local race enthusiast Troy Houston. An avid racer himself, Troy knows not only how to time a race, but also what racers and race organizers expect from the timing company. Having competed in races ranging from the St George Marathon to the world famous LOTOJA, Troy brings a vast racing knowledge to each race he times. Troy is also a certified USSA ski coach and has raced in various skiing events. Troy enjoys any human-powered sport that can be done under the big blue sky (the blue dome).
