I am a Texas grandma runner, lots of family in Maine. Couldn't talk any of them into this 5k this year, but think I will have recruits for next year. This run club is very welcoming, lots of fun, cameraderie before, during, and after the race, in spite of cold, rainy weather. Said to each other, I hope you are enjoying this as much as we are or something like that. Scenic Maine town with lots of history and excitement with their 250th celebration made the course fun and exciting to me. Remember, senior runner, a stranger to the group, but found lots of support and fun. Special kudos to Colin, a very nice teenage young man who encouraged and help pace me through the Rt 1 climb and to the finish line! Thank you and congrats!
