Warrior Run Race Description

The WMU Warrior Run is a 5k race, created to support the Willis Foundation.  The race is hosted every spring by the Army and Air Force ROTC cadets of Western Michigan University.

Since its inception six years ago, the race has helped raise tens of thousands of dollars to directly help wounded veterans. It has grown into a large community event, displaying the support from the local community towards all wounded veterans. Come and enjoy a tradition in the making and help support a local contributing charity. We thank you for your continued support!

Many of our young National Guardsmen and Reservist do not qualify for enhanced education benefits, and many struggle to pay for college.

It is for this reason that Western Michigan University is happy to announce their first scholarship for veterans.

Any military service member who is currently serving, has previously served, or dependents of military service members are eligible to compete for this needs-based scholarship.

All of the proceeds from purchasing a Western Warrior dog tag go to this military student scholarship.

Awesome Event!

Great community event. People of all ages come out and run/walk the 5k. This year will be fully LOCAL, which is great to see. The course really challenged me as well!
