I am not trail race monster. I've run a grand total of 2 trail races, both of them the Wild Azalea 27-miler. Both races have illicited gruesome pain, both times I swore I would never be back.......I'll be back next year. If you race trails, try this one. The organizers are kind and professional. The course, though not considered highly technical by my friends, is plenty tough according to them, and they like it. I've seen someone run two course P.R.s on it. I've had some really nice conversations before, during and after the race with organizers and participants. Put this one on your bucket list, I promise you, you'll enjoy it. They also have a 50-miler (I'm not tough enough), a half marathon and a 10K with 27 and 50-mile trail bike races. Coming back next year to PR.
